Guidelines for Submitting Ad Artwork - DEADLINE March 1
Acceptable Software Applications:
Adobe InDesign
Adobe Illustrator
QuarkXpress
Adobe Photoshop
Preferred Format of PDF: Note that PDF files cannot be altered; if there is an error you will be responsible for fixing the ad.
Embed all fonts on PDF files
All colors in file and on photos converted to CMYK
Reminders For Disks:
Convert all text to paths in Illustrator documents
Colors should be converted to CMYK in art and ad files
Include all logos and pictures used in creating your document
Supply a font folder with a copy of required screen fonts and printer fonts.
If fonts are not provided we reserve the right to substitute fonts
Please label your disk with a name and phone number in case there
are questions
Include a hard copy or .pdf proof of your ad/artwork along with a
CMYK file if yours is a color ad
Photos:
If using Adobe Photoshop, check Use Printer Defaults box in the Page
Setup window under Screen and Transfer buttons
If possible, save photo as a .tif or .eps at 300 dpi.
Scan images at 300 dpi at original scan - if scanned at a lower resolution and
changed to 300 dpi the file still retains the original low resolution - not 300 dpi
Save color images as CMYK.
Do not use photos off the Internet for print jobs - they are only 72 dpi and
cannot be changed to a higher resolution without rescanning the original
